Is it okay to date/like 2 girls at the same time?

I have a good impression of both girls..
So far, Haven't gotten the cold shoulder treatment, As in those yes no or extremely short answers
The first girl would reply long SMSes and such and will take initiative to start a msn conversation.. etc
But the thing is, My friend who is classmates with this first girl says that she also don't know what she is thinking. Cause she tells my friend that she has a good impression of me as well but he is rather close with another guy in her own class.
As in a project that is coming up, he and first girl are doing absolutely different topic while I'm doing the same with the girl.
And the first girl told me that she is gonna go do research with the guy, Which is totally pointless except wasting his time because we have to take pictures and research from real life.
Sigh, Then I really don't know liao.. One of my friend is also interested in the same girl but she has kinda rejected him off liao, So now it leaves me and the other guy.
My chances are slim because I don't get to interact with her much as we are different class and when I hang with their clique, The guy sticks to the girl so I don't want to spoil our friendship by going up to "steal" her off lor..

Then yesterday my friend was in the lab with me, Her friend came in.. Her friend is kinda cute la.. And we have somewhat the same music taste..
I did tell my friend that her friend is cute, Then she was like, Go talk to her lar.. Kinda like supporting me..
I now very confused.. I don't whether is this the real me.. Why am I so buaya and so easily changed heart?

even my class..there is a playboy. he oso follow the 2 guidelines very closely..and l notice he nver jio the gals in sch..instead he find his targets outside..altot he never brought up these 2 proverbs..but l from yr 1 see until now..he nver try to tackle any gals in our sch de..
l tell u...in sch..jio gals..will lead to alot of troubles de la..so l urge u better not..if u are wise up..there is a live example in my class..and l saw it..things really go very bad and very wrong.

Don't be mistaken that just because she takes the initiatives in starting MSN conversation, or that she reply long messages would mean that she like u. Who knows, she may be just extremely friendly, and she do that to other people too.
I would say, make up your mind, which girl u like, and then chase that one. Do not try stepping two boats at a time, only 2 find urself capsize later on. Even if u are currently not attached to any of them, it is kinda wrong and stupid to try 2 chase both at the same time, because the girl will feel that u are not really liking her by chasing 2 at the same time, and that she may be a back-up for the other. -
ur liking is juz infatuation la...dun reali haf to go all out to date bah...u talk to her, she enjoys talking to u, so u start liking her...the other is coz cute so u think u like her, which may juz b a light crush...as for the girl encouragin u to go talk to her fren...it may b coz shes jealous...muz see her tone loh...otherwise mayb she reali treats u as a good fren onli...try not to think too much of it
