I have recently come across a girl. she is from srilanka. She is quite young and very innocent and good looking.She does not know english properly and speaks broken english.

Her story is as follows:
She has come to singaore to work as a maid thru some agency. It seems she had bad treatment from the house where she worked.
So she does not want to work there. But her agency asks money from her arround 1000 odd sing dollars and refuse give her passport.

Since is very young, good looking and innocent.Now she has fallen in the trap of some pimp, who has given her shelter and inducing her to involve in prostitution.

After meeting her i really felt pity of her and how she is going to be exploited.

Though i really want to help this girl, i will shortly be going away from singapore.

I found out the address of srilankan embassy and soon will give to her.i dont know whether they can really help.

Can you help me to find out some Women welfare organisation in singapore who can help this girl before her future gets spoilt.

The main problem is her lanugauge. she speaks only singalese and broken english.

Is there anyway to help this girl ??

Since her passport and all the stuffs is still jammed with the agency, its best if you go straight to the embassy for help. If not try making a police report but doubt that will help much.

make a police report .. they can help you contact embassy and get things done a lot faster.

The SPF(Singapore Police Force) would be my best recommendation for such matters of exploitation.
