Dear Friends, as I'm typing this, my friend's sister is lying in hospital, in desperate need of blood. Any blood at all. She had some sort of infection and had internal bleeding. Her condition is very serious and She's only 23 - much too young to leave us. If you can, please go to the NUH Blood Donation Centre to donate your blood. We will be eternally grateful to you. I just went to donate my blood and visited her. She is in a very bad shape and in a coma. She had tubes running all over her nose, mouth and limbs. Her mom cry until eyes are swollen. She had a infection in the gastric region and the acid is "eating" away her stomach(something like that). I plea with everyone to help please...

Now, she need A+ blood and platelets urgently. Please donate your blood by tmr noon as the hospital has run out of A+ blood and they are not opened for donation on weekends.

So sorry to hear that. Though my blood type is A+ but I can't help cos I have Hepatitis B. Sigh. So sad to know that her condition has worsen. I'll forward the email...but I'm not sure if it'll help. Hi Joanne, sorry for the late reply. I don't think its convenient for me to leave my contaact here. After all, you do not know what type of ppl lurks around here. For your info, O+ blood as well as other blood groups are also acceptable cause she also needs platelets.
Blood is made up of several parts called components:
*Red Blood Cells - carry oxygen to body tissues
*Platelets - helps in blood clotting and stops bleeding
*White Blood Cells - fight infection
*Plasma - liquid part of blood that contains proteins important to blood clotting
A person needing a transfusion may receive either whole blood or some of the blood components. Transfusion is a very simple, safe and almost painless procedure. Only sterile, clean eqpt is used throughout the process. Imagine this, just abt 40 mins of your time may HELP HER FOR LIFE!
Your blood donation is not called 'A gift of Life' for nothing. -

but the schedules of the donation centre is abit hard to fit into wokrinf hours of my frens thats well not many can go for it.. -
Hi, Joanne. Thanks for the effort. Actually you can go down to donate anytime within their opening hours. Because last week they were running low on A+ blood and it was just for "in case of emergency" said by the doctor.

This is really terrible..Im really sorry to hear bout this..I hope ur frend is much much much better by now..i'll be goin down to the hospital after school this week to see my grandpa..i will donate my blood for ur frend..i really really hope im qualified to donate my blood..cos the previous time i tried donating..they sae im too weak for dat..hmm..
