Pretty much everyone here has been saying that you're only 17, and that you should be focusing on your studies than on finding a gf.
And I agree with all of them.
If you want to know, I'm 24 this year, and I've never been attached at all. -

Anyway , to TS , fret not , at 17 only , there is no need to fear that you have no GF . Im 17 too and i am single now and i feel much carefree as compared with being in a relationship .
Have you ever wondered , having a GF isn't as simple as you think. You have to be financially stable as well . You must remember , on special occasions , you have to exchange gifts with one another . On the first date , you also have to treat her to a meal , not necessary on everything u must pay for it , but a meal is a must . Also , once in a while , you have to give a small surprise to her .
If you are financially stable , i have no words to say . Probably you have second thoughts now ?

there are other things to do besides gfs, without $$$ dating will be boring, why don't focus on making $$$ or to invest in your study right now? girls will flock to you once you have $$$. Think what a sports car can do to girls.

IMO , studies isn't really a good reason that he shouldnt date at such a young age . There are people who are in a relationship and yet tops the class in exams . The biggest reason he should ponder over , is his financial status . Is he rich enough to go into a relationship ? He must remember that quite a number of things in SG are expensive , that includes meals .
Thats just my opinion . To me , studies isn't really an obstacle when it comes to relationship . The biggest obstacle would be be $$$ . Can you afford to get into a relationship ? -

And dont trust the phrase "girls will flock to you once you have $$$." . Altho its true that No $$ = No Honey , you must remember that if girls flock to you when your rich , and shun you when you are poor , they only lust for your fortune . -

My reason is i need a mate to be my companion for the rest of my life.Not to blend with the "in" crowd.
I could care less about the "in" crowd.Their idea of coolness is just a bunch of superficial beliefs such as defining a person's value by aesthetics like fashion and accessories.
I have kept abre.ast(like that also must censor) with the newspapers about how some poor old man dies lonely everytime.

Hmmm in my honest opinion....i'd rather nt get attached when i am 17...and i still have a long way to go in the education cycle...this will affect my future...unless i know how to organise my time and all...
I'm 20 this year...and after all the experiences i have i'd rather wish i didn't have a relationship at all....seriously =)

The real truth is that you feel that friends around you are so fake that you hope for a real friend who is willing to be there for you.
