hey man...Originally posted by ifish:No mood to do anything.
Not even to go out or go school.
I rather stay in bed whole day.
I know this is not good but I just lost motivation in doing just anything.
I feel as if my purpose of life is gone

Emptiness, once experienced, can become a way of avoiding work, effort and responsibility.
It becomes an excuse or a justification for noncreative living.
If all is vanity, if there is no new thing under the sun,
if there is no joy to be found anyway,
Why bother? why try?
If life is a treadmill, if we work 8 hours a day so that we can afford a house to sleep in, so that we can sleep 8 hours to be rested for another day's work, why get excited about it?
ALL these intellectual "reasons" vanish, however, and we experience joy and satisfaction, when once we get off the treadmill , stop going around in circles and select a goal worth striving for.
Life is worthwhile only when u have firmly fixed in your sights worthwhile goals.
Emptiness is a symptom that u r not living creatively. You either have no goal that is important enough to you, or you are not using your talents and efforts in striving toward an important goal.
The person who has no purpose of his own pessimistically concludes, " LIFE has no purpose." The person who has no goal worth striving for concludes, "Life is not worthwhile." The person with no important job to do complains, " there is nothing to do."
Even the most elderly can operate as goal-striving, sanguine people.
Set your goals and go for it!
Take care

Nothing to with religion. More on psychology.
OK. what i'm trying to say is this:
Human beings ALWAYS act and feel and perform in accordance with what they imagine to be true about themselves and their environment.
You cannot escape or outperform that picture.
You can dissect it, analyze it, uncover what is in it that is not true about yourself, and alter it. You can modify it without archaeological examination of the past.
BUT You cannot escape it.You will always act and perform - and experience appropriate results - in accordance with what you imagine to be true about yourself and your environment. This is a basic and fundamental law of mind. It is the way we are built
TS feeling of emptinesss stems from his mindset.
Change your thoughts, change your outview of life.
Hope u get the picture.

Change the way you look at things, and the very nature of things change.
The way you see the problem is the problem.
TS, do something instrinsically meaningful.. How about volunteer work?
wad sort of volunteer work are u involve? Those volunteer place did they let u see pple who are dying? I recommend u go do those volunteer work at this place, hospice for the terminally ill etc. From there u will see how fragile life is and i bet my life on it.. U need not find wad u wan in life. u will automatically wake up from ur dream and will go all out for wad u wan as u already know wad u wan juz lazy assuming 'the nite is still young stuff'..Originally posted by ifish:been doing volunteer work since last year. know i dont help much but i do hope i make a difference
Don't try to do too much and try to achieve too much. Focus on a few things and get enough sleep and enough food. Many times, life seems so impossible simply because people try to do too much and do not eat and sleep properly.Originally posted by ifish:been doing volunteer work since last year. know i dont help much but i do hope i make a difference
working with unpriviledge young kids.. and ironically being a mentor for some pri sch kidsOriginally posted by oldbandit:wad sort of volunteer work are u involve? Good luck bro. Life is short let's not waste time on this and live life to the fullest
i doubt it's that. it's only a once a week thing on every alternate sat..Originally posted by Meat Pao:Hi....
I think......is it possible u r too affected by ur volunteer work?
Perhaps u should take a break from ur volunteer work, coz it seems u are affected by the poor kids, become depressed urself and become unmotivated in life.
U should do something more cheerful....become beach volleyball coach..for example...so u would be outside...at the beach..and see girls u like....
U know what I mean right...?
Change ur activities...try to do something different and more cheerful...
