Money issue with my friend.

My friend borrow my HP for the first half of the year. Well I usually thought nothing of it because I only thought he would mass sms and a few call and its free within my contract. But when April came, my bill exploded into 70++, which is quite an increase for my bill as it's usually within 30$. everytime I try to talk to him about this matter online, he would either go offline or in real life, he would usually try to avoid this matter .. problem is my parent is insisting he pays the bill.. and I have been patient till June ( because he couldn't get any pocket money in June hols and I have been very lenient with him..). So any advice for me to confront him on this matter ? thanks alot .

to me, money lend out is like unrecovered water. You only lent if you know how much you can afford or is it worth it. Some people say trust is all they needed but i don't think that it is true with regard to $$$. Personally, i do lend a few people but 50% decided not to return my money. Money do let you see the true character of a person.
