It depends. If gf pass away, probably yes, if the right one comes along.
If wife pass away, its also depends if you have kids and if their age is too young. While you cope with the dismise of a beloved one, your attention to the kids is most important. If you find a new wife, your attention will be divided and if the new wife is understanding and willing to help you look after your kids, then go for it. But more often that not she will fight for your attention than to burden herself to look after someone else's kids.
Unless your kids are already grown ups and independant. Then you can consider but again your age makes it hard to find another if your children are grown ups.
But if wife passed away without kids, then stay as a widower. One mistake is good enuf...
Btw, promises are meant to be broken.... -
