i am a sentimental person...
it took me years to forget my ex...
it's so hard to forget someone you loved before... -
yah...usually it takes about a year to move on. First few months after the break up was tough.

some people can never forget the taste of first love after all the first cut is the deepest. lots of people have their next partners, very similar to their ex cause it's a familarity we all seek but we are just not conscious that those types are the wrong ones.

AFAIAMC the so called "rules" are just a load of rubbish... you need to solve the underlying problems (mostly your own) and not simply follow a set of rules...
"as long as you are not with someone when you have not gotten over your ex" is rubbish as well as good advice... meaning, it is useless because it depends on the person, the situation, the circumstances whether this rule should be applied. -
