Me studied HR, but yet to practice it, but i know that under the employment act, all salaries must be settle within 7 days after the end of the month payday, if not you can alway seek MOM to justify it for you.
And if you manage to get MOM to justified it for you, by which your employer will have to paid you, he/she must pay your salary. But most likely you will loose your job too as your employer will have terminate your service.
Then the next step, you can take your employer to court by suing him for late payment resulting in you having financial problems in settle your bills and all other houshold expenses. Most likely, those corporate lawyers will take up the case for you as you have MOM justification.
Minimium compensation for average employees upon wining the case under common law is $200k, 10% will be credit into the lawyer account, and the rest you take home. All court charges will be fully borne by the loser(most likely your employer). Gst included. If he declare bankrupt, he will have to stop his business and all his asset under freeze condition till further notice.
Therefore tell your employer..dun play play hor.
