Uncle, start using your IQ and EQ to work, too much study get u no where unless u are a president scholar. If can, try to take of business, be an entrepreneur is better than an employee.Originally posted by EarlNeo:Really need some good advice to help me move on in life.
A bit of info on me.
I will b 32 by year end. Juz return from oversea studies a year+ ago. Currently, a yr into my job. Pay is ok. I spent the past 7yrs studying there, juz ditch my PhD, coz din complete my thesis. Completed NS.
Physical and social aspect; 1.82m, 78kg, normal build, average looking, wear spec, do most sport, gym, dance, club, drink, basically the average JOE.
Currently, no gf, no car, no house, financially... well i am no better off from those fresh grad. I am not rich, i juz happen to land myself in a bond free scholarship. Hence din sponge on parent. Being the eldest at home, my parent are retiring soon and beside them, i have a disable younger brother to support.
Most ppl of my age are way infront of me in term of career, marriage, $$ ,etc, hence I know I'm doing the catching up. So dun have the 5c that most guy around my age would have. I am not in any debt nor have a gold mine saving account. It's just like starting out new with a blank balance sheet.
Imagine when u 1st started ur career, but 10yrs late with burden added. That is the me now. It would be easier if I know what I want in life, sadly I dun and their isn't much of a aim or thing that worthy to fight for. So what should I do and how to carry on from here in life? To put it simply, I am lost.
Thanks in advance for any helpful insight.
Yea, Uncle.. actually u dun need to advertise yourself here.. we do not wish to knw your age , how u go to gym or watever.. its unnessasary.Originally posted by angel7030:Uncle, start using your IQ and EQ to work, too much study get u no where unless u are a president scholar. And also the main failure in higher educated pple is they think big but want to work small, and dun like to mingle among the common ones, thinking that all this people got no brain, so in the end they lack support and lead a boring and not so successful life as they planned. Remember 7 out of 10 business men here do not have a U degree. How they do it?, simple, connectivity with all walks of life.
Ok that is a mei mei advice, take care Uncle. bye.
You are still in your early thirties. Furthermore, you are a guy. From what you have written, you appear to be leading an active lifestyle.Originally posted by EarlNeo:Really need some good advice to help me move on in life.

You are still in your early thirties. Furthermore, you are a guy. From what you have written, you appear to be leading an active lifestyle.
You have already cleared the hurdle of getting an tiertiary education. Furthermore, you have the priviledge of living and studying overseas. You can tap into that rich experience and put into good use in your career. What you need to do now is to work very hard on your career. Make sure it will be the one you enjoy doing in the long run. You are still far away from your retirement age.
No one likes to be saddled with debts. You must be glad to be debt free.
Everyone needs to start from somewhere. Just start saving whatever you can now. As long you are disciplined in your saving habits, it is alright.
You may consider taking on some freelance assignments that match your interest. By exploring other options, you may get to know what you really want in your career or life.
Good luck!
