learning new lessons,where i thought i had most about trust.life's hardOriginally posted by token141:I always beleive in helping people in need, but also must be mindful who you are helping and the risk you may get yourself into.
For example, if your friend ask you be a guarantor for a loan, don't do that unless you are prepared to pay off the loan if your friend default on the payment. I once turn down a friend who asked me to be his guarantor. After that, he never talk to me anymore. Can't blame him but what to do, I have a family to feed too.

at tht time he seemed so innocent,told he needed post paid for free incoming etc etc.gave in at a time of weaknessOriginally posted by caleb_chiang:Well, in the first place, you signed the contract for him... you could ask him to get a pre-paid one instead...![]()
Cancel the line first. Then try to get back the money slowly... a little at a time... but keep pestering him until he pays you everything...Originally posted by Alucard101:Hi all;
i had believed that helping some one will come back in circle and some one will help us when I need,though i was not born in a Buddhist family.When I was new here(international student) a local girl signed a contract for phone for 2 years.I am still thankful for her kindness.
As I became accustomed to here and was above age limit ,an acquaintance asked to help him take a phone from singtel,2 year contract.He told me will be careful and pay on time etc etc.Last time the bill was $599.82 and he lied to me that it was only below 100.I gave the bill to him but he doesn't seem to be interested in paying it.Is there anything I can do?I mean some one to complaint to etc?
