  The environment here is very competitive and full of pressure. Each exams is like elimination game.

  Come on. You did very well to get into med. I worked my ass off and I couldn't get in, law was the next best thing.
  
  Frankly, I don't even know if I wanna be a lawyer in the future. And while like you, I have thought of doing post-grad med, but I guess I'll be too old and too much in debt by then.

  Just go ahead with your LLB. When you start working, I am sure you can clear off your debt within 3 years. Just maybe you won't have much friends and I won't see you at the Pearly Gates

  Hey...I'm not gonna do litigation.
  
  Tried a little of litigation through mooting and I didn't like it. Besides, there are cases when I just don't feel like that guy should win, and he does. Even if I do litigation, most likely it'll be defending doctors.

  Funny thing, I am actually considering doing a post-grad international law course...

  Frankly, most of my pre-uni tutors felt that I'm more suited for law. Most of my friends told me the same.
  
  Law is pretty much reading, understanding what was said, trying to prove your case and the like.
  
  It isn't so much of twisting words around and finding loopholes to suit your case, though that might come later in practice. I must say that we do do that a little bit for now, pushing for interpretations of words that suit our case and the like.
  
  The school of thought that really pushes you to manipulate the legal system to your benefit is that of critical legal studies. Unsurprisingly American, and one of the biggest advocates for this is a Harvard professor who doesn't believe in the law or legal positvism, hence his great passion for manipulation.
