is ex-gf jus being friendly?

hi everyone.. tis my first posting.
i split which my gf abt 5 mths ago. we emailed each other since, but did not talk or go out. (it was a amicable breakup). recently, she's emailed me asking if i'm going out with someone. replied saying that i am jus friends with tis girl, too early to tell(truth). then she replied saying that she has found someone new and his mum likes her and stuff... the guy's 29 and her colleague. my ex and i are both 23. the problem is i still have feelings for her, and would like to get back together with her.
my questions are: does she mean anything by asking these questions and telling me these? is she jus being friendly? what are the chances she doesnt actually have a new bf? what should i do now?

From the sounds of it... all i can conclude is that she probably still likes you...and was hoping that you would try and get her back by hinting that she has found someone else... but... that is what i think... i may be wrong...
I hope you can get her back though... seeing that you still like her so very much... otherwise, your only choice left is to move on...

Like Dragonlance said,i think she still has some feelings for you and wish to see your response,because if she doesn't have,she won't be telling you all these things and will just go with the guy without informing you as she doesn't owe it to you to let her know who is she going out with etc etc

thank you guys for relpying... that's what i think too. but i've tried b4 to get her back twice...asking her out etc (that was 2 mths back). but she gave me a lashing each time, telling me she's enjoying her freedom, etc. thus i didnt go further... but nevertheless (some wks later) she will contact me by mail and SMS telling me to she wants to remain friends.
but on the other hand, why would she bluff me abt getting a new bf, so to speak? is tt to hurt me or boost her ego?
on a positive note, how do i go abt approaching her...? tt's the most difficult part cos no one knows her true intentions. -

I agree girls are sometimes really hard to understand and when we're really good to them, they don't appreciate but still again, if you love her, go forth and win her heart.
(I can tell you this.. but sigh I too got my own relationship problem...) -
maybe she wants to find out whether u still got feelings for her, that's why she tell u all the stories, but that's maybe, the truth u just gotta find out urself...

Speaking from my point of view, she really have found someone new. She wants to know whether you are attached so that she will not feel so bad that she have found someone new. Anyway, just a guess.

You can try to get her back 11 more time and if this time really unsuccessful,then console yourself by the fact that at least you tried and forget about her and get on with life liaoz))

i've been thinking abt it and i have a gut feeling that Crysania's right (my ex-gf does have a new bf and is jus telling me).
lots of pple have given me optimistic answers, and they could be right too (i hope).
what can i do to find out? i cant ask her directly right?

My opinion is that she is only trying to strike up a conversation. If she really wants to get back with you, she will drop some hints such as "you are more suitable than him".."how i wish he can behave in certain way like u"..."I sort of regret..." etc, u get what i mean?. I may be wrong.
Anyway, nothing wrong with being friends, and if you really likes her, tell her about it and see whether or not she will recipocrate. -

i jus found out tt my ex-gf actually saw me outside once, and she didnt come up to me and say hi because she felt it was awkward. (i didnt see her)
does tis have any significance?
do girls usually come up to their ex-bf to say hi when they meet outside? (she's supposed still on friendly terms with me)
how can i find out if she actually has a new bf without asking directly?

if u don't wanna find out if she got a new b/f through her, there a few ways:
1) follow her
2) ask her friends if u know them
3) ask her parents if u're in good terms with them previously.
but the best way is to ask her loh, see what's her reaction -
I guess it'll be best to go straight to the point and ask ..... Sometimes ... asking outright is best.
