I suppose you've lost all sense of rationality in your jingoistic defence of your gender, haven't you?Originally posted by jojobeach:Doko and Sturmder,
What kind of scenario warrants a man to intimidate his woman with physical violence ?
The answer is :NONE.
So, it does not matter what TS did or said to him.
Hmm ? Jingoistic ? LOL... you think ?Originally posted by walesa:I suppose you've lost all sense of rationality in your jingoistic defence of your gender, haven't you?
If a woman runs after a man with a chopper, is a man still not entitled to self-defence which requires a man to be violent by conventional standards?

Just addressing your point that under NO circumstances should a man ever be violent to a woman...Originally posted by jojobeach:Hmm ? Jingoistic ? Wats that ?
So you are assuming TS is a crazy woman who will do such thing as running after him with a chopper ?
If she does, wouldn't you think she would have chopped him up instead of giving him a slap ?![]()

I think you must accept the fact that women and men are never equal. And it will never be.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:rubbish.
so its ok if women gets violent, and men get trodden underfoot?
its ok if women are bitchy and rude and condecending and arrogant, and get away with such attitude?
its ok if women threaten men with violence but not the other way around.
i think you need to re-evaluate la. because sometimes the men are victimized. they're too nice and naive and women exploit the laws to get what they want.
in the begining, women rights group fought for EQUALITY between the sexes.
unfortunately, i don't think its very equal now.
sometimes there is a need la. i've seen cases where guys can't do anything when their girlfriends were abusive towards them, always pinching them or throwing stuff at them etc.Originally posted by jojobeach:I think you must accept the fact that women and men are never equal. And it will never be.
What women fight for are not equality, but the right to be protected from men's oppression. More rightfully men's irresponsibility.
The only way both sexes can be equal , is when women grows a diak and men grows a womb.
There are specific roles each gender are born to perform.
No matter how hard we try to cross over the boundaries, there will always be more shortcomings than given.
No matter how you look at it, the men, should never abuse what physical strength God had bestowed on him.
To use it agianst a weaker sex, what justice can it ever achieve even when he is threatened by she?
Trust me, women are more biatchy and condescending to their own kinds.
Yes, it is true, as much as men exploit the weaker sex, there are women who will exploit the system. This is not a perfect world we live in. But learn to understand on a case by case basis.
well said jojo~!Originally posted by jojobeach:The only way both sexes can be equal , is when women grows a diak and men grows a womb.
Is violent retaliation the only way a man can use to deal with a woman trying to take advantage ? If you sit down and think, there are many.Originally posted by dumbdumb!:sometimes there is a need la. i've seen cases where guys can't do anything when their girlfriends were abusive towards them, always pinching them or throwing stuff at them etc.
women think they can do whatever they want just because they're the "Weaker" sex.
i'm not advocating violence, i agree that hitting women is wrong. but i don't agree that there is nothing that men should do nothing and get taken advantaged of.
move on thenOriginally posted by petti:i feel so sad. there are so much bitterness in my heart. so much regrets. but i know, we cant turn back the clock.![]()

Physical strength is given to men to PROTECT what he loves , NOT to be use against them.
If every girl abuses the fact they are the "weaker" sex, I'm certain most man is willing to give up their gift of physical strength and grow a womb. There are many things in the world that are more torturing than physical violence, emotional abuse is one of them.

I'm a girl, but I don't support petti's action of slapping the guy. Even if the guy threatened him, she is also in the wrong to have slapped him...It is basically a rash decision...the boyfriend is also in the wrong to have threatened her, but she shouldn't retaliate by slapping him...Originally posted by jojobeach:Doko and Sturmder,

A vocal threat of violence per se is not sufficient basis for any criminal charge to arise. If that was so, many of us would end up being locked up. The question to ask concerns both intent and potential to cause such act. You can't, for example, stab someone if you have no limbs. Was your boyfriend actually holding a cup of hot water? Or was he reasonably in a position to immediately acquire such cup as to present the victim with such expediency and threat as to apprehend the violence being carried out?Originally posted by jojobeach:Obigor,
Are you trying to compensate for something ? I hope not.
FYI: Ever heard of " the best defense is a good offense" ?
Do you realised that hot water damage on a woman's delicate skin can be PERMANENT ?
A slap on his thick face will only leave welts for a day or two.
If I am her, I'd have hauled him to the police station, and have him locked up for 24 hours.
What kind of man threatens a woman with physical damage ?
