The reqiurement stated is correct on the surface. But the actual stats begs to differ and is in fact higher for some of the Local Uni (Specifically am not going to name it). I have also seen Top Poly graduate of GPA 3.95 ended up quitting the Uni due to over hype competition and ended up in the workforce again. On contary, there are also sec five normal academic students who went through the poly path and then to the local uni and graduate with 2nd upper honors in NUS too and is currently taking PhD.Originally posted by online55:just a note..from poly to local uni (NUS/NTU/SMU) u need a GPA of @ least 3.5 and above to get in.
I am 19 , just finished my poly..going to get into NS next year..will be going into SIM when i come out.
As for you, i think u better get into SIM(UOL or RMIT) first, then if ur grades are gd..can try for masters program in SMU..which i heard is possible, to boost ur degree.
Go throught SIM /ntu/NuS site..Originally posted by cosmocanyon1:I just ORDed and i have a partial A level certificate.. I intend to apply for SIM global (UOL or RMIT). My parents actually advise me to go poly take a longer route and get a local uni cert (NTU NUS) much better.. They tell me age is not a matter and ultimately is you reach ur destination.. How any comments? I am 23 next year..
+1Originally posted by alterdesire:Since you already did your A levels why not retake it get full cert then go nus/ntu/smu
