All the talks might cause stress, but if it were me, i will want to prove them wrong.... Use the talks made by them to motivate myself to be a stronger person and make the relationship works....

you must be prepared to face all kinds of embarassments or gossips from ple lor..
tho it's nothing wrong to be with a lady 9 yrs older than u, but chinese are overall, conservative..
if u two truly love each other, then u two muz face the storm together.
if any one of u is shaken, then the r/s wun last long. -

Every relationship has problems...not just TS's relationship. At least financially they are ok...
As I see it they are set for life...the biggest challenges will not come from family and friends but THEMSELVES..

Congrats for going ahead with the wedding despite the mountains of obstacles...my advice is to write down all the agonies ,frustrations and objections so that when your marriage encounters any problems along the way...such writings can prove to be motivating force to let U appreciate each other more and reinforce the relatiponship further.
for the wedding,be a true gentleman invite all those who strongly objects other than than your parents and in-laws..even friends nd distant relatives who frown upon your marriage should be invited too...
