Jealousy by definition is the unhappiness one feels towards others in terms of their possession, and often leads to *covetousness* which is the extreme wish to possess that which others have.
Jealousy and covetousness are negative in the sense that there is unhappiness in them and often contempt and resentment in others for having what one wishes to possess. Furthermore, it also often includes wishing to exclude others from having it.
It makes people say and do nasty things to one another.
Must tell us full story if u need people to advise on the situation loh. -

I don't think guys get jealous much but girls do all the time, it tears them apart and causes so much tension and hatred between them. Why can't they just chill out like us guys? WHY!??! WHY!?!?!??! YASDUAAHSHASUDARGJJG

Indeed, you are very right about friends breaking up because of jealousy. It happens to me many times. I don't give a damn about it any more for in the past I have done all I could but continued to be victimised by them. Without them, I am now a much happier person.
