i sacrificed valueble times with my frens and family, juz so tad i can spend time with my ex. she was like my everything.
And when we broke up, i feel so embarass having to go back to my friends after ditching them for my gal.
At least they welcome me back.
People make mistakes sometimes, and hope im not so stoopid as to break her trust.

I don't think one can really forget the past especially those sweet special moments.
One needs to accept the fact that the past is over and that it is time to let go. Learning to let go is not easy especially when you want to hold on to those memories. It can be confusing too especially when you are contemplating on a new r/s. However, I am convinced through what you shared, you are wary of yourself and your g/f.
There is no certain ways on how and what to do but if you are not trying to mould your present g/f into someone you used to know. I think you are already being fair to the present one. IMHO you can do both let go your past and be committed to the present. Let the past be history and don't bring it up as it is not going to have anything positive and/or pleasantries for you.
Remember letting go of the past is not all about forgetting the past. OK?
