We fill up a table that's on the supervisor's table....so no hanky panky haha.Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:You company uses the hand punch or use paper to record de?
Some company really very good, how long you work = amt of $ you'll get.
Some company will require you manually fill up the table.
If your company is a MNC then work hard.Originally posted by crimson soldier:I am a temp worker atm, with an agreed period of employment.
I have a fixed /hour wage unless I am asked to do official overtime work. But I do find that I have to stay back almost up to an hour everyday. I have work objectives but they are not strictly enforced in the short term or might be "shared" with others(a.k.a I do more they do less). I find that my "pride" or should I say "personal responsibility" is somehow involved in making me stayback each day.
Is it common for temps to work extra without pay? After all nearly 10 hours a day is no joke haha...leaves almost no time for myself after accounting for travel time.
Singapore work place is famous for 'abusing' their staffs and union here is not strong. So either you live with it or quit. Simple as that.Originally posted by crimson soldier:I am a temp worker atm, with an agreed period of employment.

[b]Temp Staff are actually OBLIGED to work OT without getting paid extra.
Hours of work refers to the period during which an employee is expected to carry out the duties assigned to him/her by the employer. It does not include any intervals allowed for rest, tea break and meals.
An employee shall not be required under his/her contract of service to work more than eight hours in a day or 44 hours in a week. Where the employee is required to work not more than five days a week, the limit of eight hours per day may be exceeded but he/she shall not be required to work more than nine hours per day or 44 hours in one week.
If by agreement under the contract of service, the number of hours worked in every alternate week is less than 44 hours, the limit of 44 hours in one week may be exceeded in the other week, subject to a maximum of 48 hours in one week or of 88 hours in any continuous period of two weeks. All work in excess of the above hours shall be considered as overtime work and the employee must be paid at the rate of not less than 1.5 times his/her hourly basic rate of pay
o.O u sure ma? OBLIGED to work for free in other words? lol
u read my first sentence but did u read my 2nd one? thats y i said the OT hours will be "roll-ed over".Originally posted by Hidetox:[quote]Originally posted by akinos:

The job market is good atm, and they got nothing to complain of me.
But I would hate to leave my first job so fast...won't set a good precedent. haha.
Regardless OT hours roll over or not, the work doesn't disappear. Don't want to be irresponsible and not meet my long-term objectives. But I can only do so much so fast without compromising quality. The only way to reduce some pressure is to hire another guy but doubt they will do it....
