My 7 yr old niece was molested by her male cousin 12yrs old...
He took of his pants n started touching her below.As she was too young, she didnt know wat was happening.. this happened when she was sleeping..
She den confided with my sis in law.. den my sis in law told me abt this issue..
I am so angry...
Her dad seems to brush it aside becoz of relative issues. Sometimes wonder why like tat. That cousin should be severely punished...
Wat do u think should be done?Report police?
Any advice? -

Few yrs back, i met a flasher too... Den now i can still remember the details vividly...Its the kind of memories u wish u can forget but, u cant....
But if report hor, wat will happen? Its like even he say sorry also wont cure her of the hurt he inflicted on her forever....

To ascertain if there are emotional damage done to the girl.
And to counsel the boy regarding this kind of behavior.
I don't think this is serious enough for a police/criminal case.
Sometimes the police may not handle this kind of affairs well and will cause more damage to the little girl. -
I think the most appropriate thing to do is to communicate with his parents and educate him that is wrong.
Education is the key -
maybe consultation.
dunno if go homes or not.
if u nvr do anything.
he might get worst.. -
let his parents know.
i hope his parents will discipline him.

The boy parents very protective of him, and this boy looks decent type.. nerdy also. Cant imagine a boy like him do this sort of thing to his cousin.
They always play together , but after wat happened, my niece become quiet n withdrawn.. she dun laugh n talk much like wat she used to...

His mum also dun believe tat her boy do such thing.. the dad also seems nonchalent abt it.. They side their son so much..

But i still feel the need to pursue n see justice done... I know wat it is like to have tat kind of exp although i nv been molested...was flashed at...

even if u report, u can't do much to him.. at the most, send him to a boys home ma? or juz counselling?
i think it would be better to stay a distance away from that family.. dun let ur niece play with him anymore. I think it will be good to let her see a counsellor/psychologist. -
the little girl very young .. don't make a fuss of it. Teach the girl that next time regardless of who touch her below, she should tell her mom and/or teacher
My 4 year old niece is taught early on no boy should be allowed to touch her especially at her pee area.
The boy also need to be taught these are wrong actions. Condone this action and the boy will not learn correct respect for others. Looks can always be deceiving and it should not be a factor for any decision to teach the child what is right or wrong in life.
The parents are at fault too. Failing to teach their children is failing as parents and really they are just adding more problems to the future. -

Law immunity will apply in this case because of the age of the two parties..
The only option left here is private and personal disciplinary action but since the boy's father shrug it off(i think the boy was still punished but not revealed anyway) there's nothing to do then
Unless u wanna put the matter to your own hand and rape the boy back

Don't report it to the police it'll make things worse, you need to have a serious talk with the boy.
Btw those who said report how the hell would that help things? Yes get the boy in a truckload of sh*t with the authorities that'll really fix things wouldn't it? -

Should send that boy and his parents to counselling... Reporting may be good but they may not believe your niece since she's still young... and that boy can deny what he has done... Since you said he gives a nerdy impression... Others may not believe he did do that to your niece

At 12 years old - he would have known right from wrong.
Get the parents of the girl to report it to the police - let the police give him a huge scare . I know that the law won't do much about it but still worth scaring him into respecting women.
It is about stopping a behaviour now rather than him growing up to think he can do it to other girls and ultimately landing in jail.
It is also making sure that the little girl knows that her parents believe and support her regardless of what happens. She should not be deprived of any right to speak up. -
