Coz i'll be landing in a Jap. MNC and i know shyt about the culture of it.

It's true, at least for panasonic. Got music also.
Also, a lot of things are after-office hours... Like go out pub drink beer, etc... It is during these after office hours that you get to hear about company plans, when the jap managers start to get tipsy.

They usually don't let their employees surf msn/sgf etc during work. And not much chatting with other colleagues during office hours too.

come on lah, different jap co have different working culture, the manufacturing and construction ones have assemblies, office ones don't have such stuffs....if you want to move up, then natrually you have to participate in some of the talk cock sing song session, same for every other companies, good eq will get you further up the ranks, in any other words, perform but don't forget the occassional ass kissing.....

you can consider other websites where the forums consists of more adults..
perhaps the forumers at other website might give more insight tips..
example CNA forum etc..
but none the less..
if you ask me..my reply would be..who would share their experiences with others when they are trying to back-stab each other inside the very office with bullets flying virtually every day..

fighting for credits..recognition..to get pay rise..
chances are you better start off from smaller companies get the necessary experiences first before going into bigger MNCs..so this way you are prepared for what's coming your way..and are able to come up with solutions real quick...to get into the good books..

japanese companies are very strict expecially in timing.but in the end all depends on your boss and collegues regarding work.
