i had pass something to my friend a long time ago.. (2 mths ago) then after which i quarreled with him and fell out wif him.. i want my item back.. would the police help me take back the item? even if its not worth much money.. could i have the monetary value of the items he took?
Police won't help you. You can still make a report though...
Most probably they will ask you to go to Small Claims Tribunal....
But before you do that, please calculate the cost of the item and the trip and fees to SCT.....
the item has totally no vcalue now.. it was a collectable card game... and then the company folded recently.. i want the items back but to no avail.. how?

Ask nicely....
Do you have proofs those cards are yours?? If not, seriously, police cannot do anything....
Maybe they can out of goodwill talk to your friend. But they cannot force him into giving you back.....
the thing is that i have no proof.. however i am very clear that he is the one who took it... i know that he is just wanting to spite me ... however i am really very very pissed with this... is there some laws which protect u from such things?
nope , no eye witness, no nothing.. how?
let me tell you about the worthless police force we have.
My friend was cheated of $5000.
She reported to the police and the police say they will check.
After a year she received a call from the police saying that the cheater was caught, happily she went down to the police station after a day's leave.
After spending a whole day at the station she asked a simple question.
" Can I have my money back"
This is the reply from the police.
" Sorry madam, We feel that the guy has no money to pay you back. Is better to end the case and treat the money as lost. " You can sue the cheater in a civil case back as you can see is useless cos he got no money. Just end it lar."
My friend felt very sianz then wanted to leave. The police told her this.
" Madam you have to come back to court and attend the hearing, if not we have the rite to sue you for not turning up."
Sadly my friend had to take another day off to appear in court.
To TS,
Do you seriously think the so call "good" police will help you at all?"
wait for some time then ask him again nicely. time heals all wounds slowly.
