Sadly, it happens everywhere and any levels...
Either you be strong & built up ur skills+knowledge, or find another new job 2 start everything afresh.

U have to know that people like u and me being put in that kind of situations is either we applied for it during our job , or someone has faith in our abilities to solve problems. Managers solve problems. Team leaders solve problems. The similiarities are that , u either u persuade on all players to play ball , or u coerce them to doing it.
You have to know how to solve thier grievences , you have to understand them , you have to be in thier shoes , u have to look out for thier well being, you have to support them and show that u care for them. You are the person that makes things going. You are the thin-thread holds a loose group of banditos.
Its natural that those longer , or more experiened do not like a newbie coming in , especially younger , telling them what to do. Nobody likes it , hell i dun even think u like it too. So u gotta understand man.. what u do is extremelydifficult at times. Leaders are born , but leaders are also carved out from experience and thier ability to influence those around them and then lead them.
U know why u are called a Team Leader or not.
But in my opinion , the educated people are easier to deal with. 1 is because they are educated. And your team dun sound so lowly educated. U want lowly educated u try contruction workers and what nots .. u see la. u see they will give a sh|t about u or not. Will even sabo ur car later. And 2 , they know the valule of $$$ and all things related to $$$.
