Guy pestering my gf

Thks to all who reply to my last posting.I'm now back but i'm facing another problem.My gf told me that a guy has been sending her love messages(sms) even though he know she's already attached.I'm very happy that my gf is honest with me but i can't help but feel very uneasy abt this.I have not asked my gf how she knows this guy and other details.To a certain extent,i'm kind of piss off as this guy is simply showing no respect to me.How can he juz come in and try to break our relationship.I'm now at a loss on how shld i approach the situation...*sigh*...

i took it badly initially, which was bad because it shows how badly i took it. i msged the guy back, ended up with a "macho" SMS war which had no meaning or did not help the situation.
look at it this way, if you're too bothered by the msgs, your gf would most likely get upset, because it shows how you think such msgs would sway her feelings for you. so don't do that. Fireice is right, have more confidence, and trust in her that she won't do anything about them. there's nothing much she can do when some guy likes her right? and it's worse when it's her friend, because you can't expect her to completely break ties with her friend just to pacify your jealous thoughts? put in another way, if the reverse happened to you, i'm sure you'll appreciate it if your gf trusts you and not think too much into it. be confident, your gf is not with you for no reason, and won't be swayed by such "advances". and the fact that she told you tells you that it is indeed so.
of course it's another case if your gf encourages such activity. but put it in another way, some girls are (not saying yours is, but just consider it) flattered by such msgs, but they won't do anything serious about them.
bottomline, it shows how desirable your gf is to others, and that you're the envy of other guys. so take it in your stride and show her the gentleman you are! -

ignore the fellow. it's fine once in a while to tell her how you don't like that, being a natural response to how much you love her, but do it nicely and constructively. don't worry about him. suckers like him would give up eventually. just be careful of bastards like the one i met. good luck! -
obviously, the guy on knowing she's attached but yet stil went after her..shows he has got no respect for u..... do u need to show him any?? Ask ur gf to shut him off and if he stil pester her....u call him lor....it works most of the time...dun forget to add in some @%&*%$%$%%^&**&( to show u r not someone wif a high tolerance.

although you should have trust in your gf, but if your gf sees your bochap attitude, she might think you are taking her for granted and fly away.
confront him, and let him know that she is your gf, and you have no intention of letting her go.

If she's openly accepting all his advances u shd go warn him off, or he might juz ply her with expensive gifts(like my case) and she might go off with him. In this case, u can post a topic "Hired muscles needed" -

U might need some assurances from your other half. Give her the "bochup" attitude is hardly a solution. It boils down to your gf's attitude and characteristics to decide whether the relationship stays or goes.

well...birdbird ever heard abt the story of a pet bird? If the bird is meant to be yours, even though u leave the cage door open, it will still fly back to you. But even if she is not meant to be yours, juz be glad that at least both of ur paths crossed.
Moreover, I have this happened b4. For a gal I feel happy & more confidence cos I have made my BF proud. Although he is a bit irritated, but he kept his calm & this makes me more 1 2 stay wif him. Actually if he make a big fuss over it, I may leave him (not to be with that admirer) but feel real disappointed dat he dun trust me at all.

In a case like this, the best man will win. Just make sure you're on the winning end is all. Try a little bit more tenderness, love and care, you sure to win hands down one.
The important thing is always to put her before your own desires and needs. Listen to her, hear her talk, hold her hands when she's cold, if she complains about freezing... buy her a jacket. But to the extent of you losing yourself coz when you've lost your self-respect then people can step all over you. That's all i can say.
Always remember to treasure her... always. To try out, you can buy a bird and have a relationship with the bird for a few months. Then set it free... hurts like hell, it is. Good luck! -

Hey ... remember about the ... "If you love her, you don't have to own her, you just want her to be happy" ? It all comes down to your gf's attitude. You can ask her to ask the guy to stop, (and hopefully he does). Or you can confront him together with your gf. Confrontation doesn't mean a fight though ! If he's serious about it, then, let him be. I'm sure if you treat your gf well, she'll stick around with you and not the new guy. Trust is an essential thing in a relationship.

You think you know how a lemon tastes like, sad to say... it's never the same when you actually bite into a lemon... hahahaha... geddit. The thinking is a misconception, although it's still a very safe way to know what's going on. Nothing beats real experience!

Hi everyone...really really appreciate all the advices given to me.I trust my gf and i dun want to make things difficult for her or make a big "scene" out of this,although i'm piss off with this guy.But at the moment,there's more important things for me to tackle as my gf is facing the prospect of being retrenched.Nevertheless,really want to say thanks to all of you again.
