Why guys cannot confess their feelings like a MAN?

This seems to be an ongoing repetitive problem here in Aunt Agony...saddens me to know it everytime and so I would like to share my thoughts to y'all.
Why do all guys strives to be cool and act like a MAN when they are not even able to confess their feelings to the girl that they have feelings for?
Guys like these are not MAN, they are frightened insecure little boys trapped inside a MAN's body.
If rejections is all it takes to destroy their soul, then maybe they don't deserves to be with the girl that they like. The girl would be so much happier and better off with a real MAN than frightened insecure little boys.
How many of you actually got a really bad rejection from a girl after confessing your feelings to her?
Speak up, be honest with your feelings and let the girl knows how you feel. We're already into the 21st century and yet guys are still behaving like the 18th century.
Talk to her and ask her out if you like her and want to know more about her. Tell her you like her and would like to know more about her if she asked you why you want to ask her out.
At the most she will say she is not interested and then you can move on to the next one, she's probably not the girl you're looking for anyway if she is not interested in you.
Most girls will be impressed by your initiative if you tell her you want to know more about her. Most guys couldn't care less and yet still hope for the girl to like him by playing it cool. Ya....keep playing cool and keep dreaming on ok?
First come, first serve, no good girls will wait for guys who likes to keep playing cool. Good girls don't wait for cool guys, they want to be with hot guys who cannot live without them....like their oxygen!
So where are all the MAN?

but you know, the problem with confessing doesn't only concerns the issue of being rejected.
its about what will happen when u confess and get rejected. the friendship would never be the same again.
how would you treat a male friend whom you rejected? would you still truly regard him as a true friend, or would you see that guy as one of your suitors, who is still trying to woo you?
in that case, would it be worth it to sacrifice a perfectly normal friendship with smth more awkward?

For your info, it's actually easier to have true friendship with guys after they have been rejected by me. Of course I know the guy will be feeling hurt, insulted, humiliated, angry after I have rejected them, but you know what? I am able to "heal" them after I have rejected or "hurted" them. I'm able to make them feel better and recover from my rejection that easy, and that's why I can still keep my male friends after I have rejected them.
In fact, guys make better friends to girls when they are not after them...proven!

So acting cool doesn't mean sure got gf =) -
i think the outcome varies depending on the girl? not all girls (and guys as well) react the same way i guess. so mayb what will happen after rejection will differ from case to case

u got ur ans.so the relationship between the guy and girl will be affected in sort negative manner, once the girl found out that her male friend is after her.

Day 1, tell Sarah that he likes her. Gets rejected.
Day 2, tell Li Ping that he likes her. Gets rejected.
Day 3, tell Nuwardi that he likes her. Gets rejected.
And then AA will be flooded with girls asking wtf, men are unfaithful pricks. Chasing girls like a dog chasing cars on the freeway.
