when someone regrets sumthing he/she has done in the past, it means that the incident leaves a lasting impression, and the guilt will stay with the person for life... like being branded with hot iron (from medieval ages)
however, if the regret can be solved (those that need apologizing...) i suppose the past won't really haunt us that much..
basically, it's juz a war within ourselves.... whether we can live with the fact that this is already the past, and we can only move forth.... -
