to continue sec 5 or go for higher nitec?

  time do not matter during these down recession time

  as long as you can study sec 5, just go for it.

  Since you chose to continue to sec 5, study hard. And study hard consistently throughout the year. Confirm can see results if you're not the kind who'll give up easily one.

  Not study hard just in January when the fire in you is all heated up, but slack from Febuary to September (under the excuse of being 'very sian') only to kan chiong at that point ot time.

  Just an advice.

  Go sec 5 instead. It saves time and give you more opportunities.

  O levels isn't as hard as it looks. With hard work, it can be easily overcomed.

  h.nitec is da best la..why go sec 5?if planning to go poly then go ite better..build up foundation and poly life will be easy~~unless u wan go jc..haix..boring..

  Foundation at the cost of 3 years, if im not wrong, is not worth it. A person should only consider taking nitec if he/she can't handle studying well. TS is a NA student and i think he/she can handle the O levels given effort.

  Besides, have you checked the percentage of people in ITE entering poly after getting their nitec? Just for your information, the number isn't really that impressive.

  My class is given a chance to take Emath during sec3 and 4 , and we took the o level math exam last year too.

  and omg ,

  today , get back my o level math results..

  D7..

  hais , hopefully will get a b3 when i retake.

  my frien is right man , math study no use , must practice T-T

  hey, im a sec 5 student

  i receive my O level result yst

  L1R4 = 19

  can go poly

  see, if u put in the effort, u can do it.

  believe in urself

  i fail maths and sci in prelim and mid year

  get F9,E8,D7

  O level, i manage to pass maths with C6 and science with B3

  because i put in alot of hard work, i keep doing TYS 2 weeks before the O level.

  and most importantly, i believe in myself when my form teacher already give up hope on me.

  my advise to u, dont start 2 weeks before, do it earlier. And always believe in urself. doesn't matter if ur teachers or friend dont believe in u. As long as u believe in urself, thats more than enough.

  go sec 5 la... u go higher nitec sure FAIL.. best solution is that u study in sec 5, do O lvl and smack ur butt and say bb to ur school...

  TS,

  Decided to write on reading that you have chosen sec 5.

  You would have read that sec 5 is very different from sec 4N. My advice to you is to focus and study hard. Do not get yourself involved in unneccessary things like relationship or gang stuffs. Also, during the course of your study, you may feel inferior to those in sec 4E because you are all taking the same exam, and they are one year ahead of you. Do not pay attention to these things. Focus on your own work, and that's all.

  I can go on to say quite a few bits, but I am just going to leave you with one true example. I was doing N levels at sec 4, and I went ahead with sec 5. I completed my O levels with 13 points (L1R5, back then it was so for six subjects), and 9 points for (L1R4, or your L1R2B2). I went on to study at a JC, and subsequently at NTU, where I graduated with honours. Currently, I am a Logistics manager with a MNC.

  I may not be a very successful person at this stage, but I have proven many critics, including teachers, friends, peers, relatives, wrong. There is no right or wrong choice, but it's how you make the best out of it.
