Ok i have a friend who is 21 this year and likes a ger who is 18 this year.
is the age gap too much ? and how does mainly does 18 year old girls mature enough for a serious relationship LOL .

an 18 yr old girl might differ from another 18 yr old girl.
It depends solely on that particular person, you cant say that all 18 year old girls are mature or still considered as kids.
On the other hand, a 25 yr old lady might not be mature enough for a serious relationship. It all boils down to the person herself, not age.
Also, although your friend is older than the girl, his thinking might not be more mature than the girl just because he is older than her by 3 years. It depends on the guy himself.
