Sec3.
I have a friend. Apparently, from what i have read from her blog, her confidence is diminishing especially in AMaths. Subject combination: English, Chinese, Emaths, Amaths, Social Studies, Elective Geography, 3x Pure Sciences +1 'O' Level Music.
Problem no.1: She wants to drop out from 'O' Level Music which is an additional. Her friends have also dropped out of it. However, she has many obligations in her CCA which requires a lot of commitment and she still has homework to do. She would usually be left with little time. Furthermore, it is her 'wish' to take 'O' Level Music.
Problem no.2: Confidence in mathematics is diminishing as she has a lot of problems with it. She would give up when she comes upon a difficult question and gets fed up.
... I really want to help her. Anyone can tell me what should i do? Or what should i tell her?
send her to homework forum ![]()
appeal to tutors who are blood thristy for students in homework forum.. i m sure she will get alot of help from there
If she's hot, send her to me...
If she's not, send her to homework forum...
lol
Sec 3? Just ask her to tolerate till Sec 4 to see if there are any more improvements.Get a maths tutor to boost her confidence.Actually depends on what she wants to become when she grow up lah, like if she wants to take business in the future then never ever drop A maths. If so then give up o lvl music, since you can always learn music outside.
drop music la
waste time only
concentrate on the rest
wat ppl i noe do is they drop subjects they are weak in (especially 1 of the pure sciences and A maths) as u onli need 6 subjects to qualify for JC
and ya..if she really into music. go some music school better
Musicians practice for hours on end. If music is her passion, she should take up music. Hang the rest. She should not be another victim of the Singapore system.

I totally agree...
How you can help? You good in these two subjects? If not, you have the money to pay for extra lessons for her?
If not, why you ask in the first place?
There's nothing you can do but to talk and encourage her.
Unless you are unable to do that too cos you dun really know her but her stalker... ![]()

If your friend can stay committed to Homework Forum for 1month (everyday come here post questions or doubts), I bet there will be huge change in her.
