Some time ago , i work for this company as a mascot for an event at marina square. upon reaching the place and since it was my firstday, i met the person in charge and she brought me to this room which was behind our booth
She told us to place all our belongings there. after that i went out to do my job. After i finish my work, i went back to the room to check my handphone however i found out that my bag was lost/stolen.
So the question i want to ask u is that can i claim back this money from the small claim tribunal since when i ask my supervisor, she said that the company was not responsible for my lost. However i believe that they are responsible as they ask me to put all my belongings in there and my bag was with all my other friends belongings but surprisingly only my bag was stolen and the total amount of belongings that was inside the bag that was lost was about $1400.Therefore i guys, i realy need your advice on this matter.
thanks in advance :)
this is serious le!! u got talk to your supervisor that they ask to put your bag in that room?? hmm....... did they saw u putting your belongings in that bag??
yups i told them then they should be responsible as my supervisors told me to put our belongings there and they saw me putting in in there .
do u think i have a case againts them?
Can the room be accessed by the member of public?
no.
something to learn, keep expensive stuff with you, inexpensive stuff in the bag.
makes everyone happy.

no. it was a container room which only staffs can go in but the door was not locked so it can be accesible to other people.
even for a full time job where i know every other people in the place, i dont even keep my valuables unattended or inside my bag.
a habit u should practice.
how old are you?

yes, agree with the ppl on top , always secure your valuables properly.
Although it''s a bit sad that a lapse of security caused you so much distress

Hmm...if you have $1400 in your bag, why do you still need to work as a mascot?
Don't tell me they pay you more than $1400?
You just need to learn to look out for yourself when you're outside. Treat this as a lesson because there is no way to recover your lost possessions.
lodge police report
they will lan lan have to investigate
ask for cctv's images during that time to be reviewed

cmon parn read properly. i said i lost $1400 in valuables not in cold hard cash.
and for your second point, yup what u said is true im getting over it.
wow! $1400 worth of stuff? what do you have in your bag?
things devalue. like when u buy car at $65k 4 years ago and it got stolen yday... you don't go around saying you lost a $65k car.
same goes for a nokia 8250 bought in 2001. it doesn't cost $700 anymore. ![]()
do you have two nokia 8250 in your bag? ![]()
oopsie double post wor. ![]()

i already did that, but the cctvs are a real joke man. when the police brought us to the security viewing room, they found out that the cctv which was directly in front of the room was not actually facing the area. they were facing another area -.-

a psp,w960i,paul frank watch, the bag itself,
ya hor quite true
so do u mean that i can make myself happy just thinking that the value will depreciate into a lesser sum one day?

u may, if it helps.
but the more important lesson is to not leave your belongings, valuables especially unattended and not under lock & key.
even a police report wouldn't help in this case. u got IMEI of your hp?

Things which you can buy with money will eventually break, so why don't you try cherishing something else as your valuables? ![]()
hmm ask the biggest boss do a search for u and see can claim back some cash.
Always rememeber put important thing at pocket more safe.
not important 1 put at bag.
