I rmb SMU called me up to demand why I had refused their offer. I was completely taken aback at her tone - "Why did you reject SMU?" "So it is because of _____ that's why you reject right, not because of SMU itself right?"
I was like, ok relax darling.
Ok in all honestly, I think SMU have branded themselves well...and definitely trains you to be more vocal. But there again, vocal isn't everything.
TOTALLY, i don't think SMU is hard to get in at all, the reputation is seriously over-hyped. my interview was a breeze, in fact it wasn't even an interview, it felt more like they were desperate to have me in the sch, kept selling and promoting the smu biz course
i rejected smu offer and some smu lady called me up too, lol, so desperate. In terms of course content all 3 offer much the same. anyway uni is abt self-learning, u learn what you want, doesn't mean go to gd uni means u will be high-flyer, still must depend on own effort
but in terms of recognition and establishment, a cert from NUS and NTU is more recognised than SMU, and the fees are not as expensive.
i thought smu is a good university
pardon my ignorance.............
they seems to be marketing themselves everywhere
abt their "american/vocal" teacher style..
to lim;
i never was in business course......just an objective unbias view of smu from afar as compared to other more professional varsities in spore.
