Hey guys,
It is most unlike me, but I have been feeling sluggish, unmotivated and depressed lately. I'm in the midst of my exam session for my third and last yr of university.... and I just had one of the worst papers in my life. I don't know why... but I was wondering if any of you guys out there felt the same way during the final stretch of your uni days. Maybe it's just because I'm nearing the end of student life or it's burn out - but was wondering if any of you guys felt like your brain was deteriorating towards the end.
I mean, take my second last paper last friday: I admit I have a good ability to come up with great points or counter-points to the essay questions usually; but oh god, the last paper was just a case of not being able to think straight at all. And i was not particularly stressed or anything, or ill-prepared. I guess I could have been more prepared, like by studying more - but my technique for exams in uni has changed drastically from jc (not so much on memory any more). So it's more on finding the good winning argument rather than just dishing out facts. I think I lost my ability to do that, which really bums me out. And I just feel quite depressed at the end of it - and it's such a pity to be ending my student life this way. Have you guys felt like that before? Tired, burnt out? Sluggish and unmotivated?
Just wanted to hear if anyone had similar experiences?
:)
Remenber always think of your parents first before you do stupid things.
u need some light exercise, and sufficient slp. =) try it for a week, it works..
I walked into university with no intention of coming out with anything less than a Masters, so third-year undergrad was simply the end of the beginning. I started thinking about taking it easy in the second year of the doctorate, which was my sixth year at uni.

Good lord Gedanken! I could never EVER in my wildest dreams do a PHD. Simply haven't got the patience for it :S I admire those who have the tenacity to do one though... kudos all the way man. I'm just relieved my student life is just about over.... although I won't put myself pass doing a masters or something. Just now I need a break from academia. heh.
What course are you in?
Hey we are the only ones on sgforums at this godforsaken hour. hee hee I'm taking the humanities.

I think you got the wrong idea.
TS just want others to share their experience with him.
Personally, sometimes I feel the same as TS, burnt-out, energy-drained. What I do is to exercise, bath, and then get back to work.

Its good to see your interest in posting to help but can you please NOT dig up all the old threads and just leave dead threads as dead and just focus on active threads...

Are you this bored till you need do this? Generally AA post we stop posting once the TS don't return to comment unless it becomes OT by the forummers which happens all the time. Nothing do go start a new thread on Chit Chat.

It is 2 in the morning then, even if I started a thread in chit-chat, no one will be talking.
Okay, full-stop here. We don't post here anymore.
