If you are fun-orientated, all you care is about having fun with friends and prob someday 10yrs down the road, you find out that you have not done anything you are proud of to achieve. But yes, u have lots of friends.
Which 1 is better? Happy memories or achievements? Its really a dilemmna for me.
It is not good to have only either of them, what one truly needs is a good mixture of fun and hardwork.
If you are too achievement-orientated, you will give up everything around you just to succeed, and in turn you will lose a lot of precious friendships; and the distance between you and your family will widen.
If you are too fun-orientated, you will end up having fun and forget about working hard. Many years down the road, you will realise that you will have lose all your true friends, as they have move on in their life and you will still be acting like a teenager. The only ones who will surround you are those who do not bother to work and keep dreaming about short cuts to success.
Don't worry too much about all these, just work as hard as you could, and yet at the same time pay attention to the loved ones around you. A truly successful person will not only succeed in their work, but will also be loved and cared for by those around them.

You forget to mention that people who are fun orientated will end up as a bankrupt too because they play and play and don't work to save for retirement.
for people who are achievement orientated and they have no family and friends, they can just marry a foreign bride

achievements
with zero achievement, people will treat you like a clown for company
what if one of my achievements is to have alot of friends?
that is not an achievement
when i look at a guy's achievement, i'm looking at things like his career, his position, his academic qualifications etc

That itself is an achievement! You will have a good career in sales, espacially in the insurance procument field and MLM industry, moving up the ladder and driving a BMW roadster while still in your teens!
If you are into politics, you will have a huge network of supporters and who knows, you may became our next PM or President!
Achievement means the final successful result of a purpose. And why would you spend your time cultivating that huge number of friends unless you have a purpose, an aim in mind? ( friends as in people you know and should care about, and not the useless digits displayed on your facebook account).
SO, for the life of me, I don't know why others will want you as a friend if your intention is to make use of them.
Friendship is built on trust, honesty and integrity, and chances are, if you value your friendship, you will NOT make use of them to climb up in life.
So we are back to square one - study hard, gain knowledge, get a job, perform well in it, well enough that it would earn others' respect.
If you have the qualities of leadership, you will attract others to become your friends, for leadership shares the qualities of friendship, only with the additional trait of accepting and taking responsibilities for others' lives and bettering them, helping them to fish instead of just feeding them fish, including your friends.
That is the true achievement and where happy memories derive from.
