Been quite awhile since I came to SGF as I'm currently serving my dues to the Nation. Well,I'm 10months to ORD and am currently actively searching for an institution to further my studies. Am very interested to do marketing as that is my forte, but am unsure of which institution to take up the said course with. Which comes with another problem, will the certification awarded from the institution be recongnized,given the recent Brooks Biz sch. saga.Also the cost factor has to be put in.
Presently, I've selected the following few namely RMIT with SIM, Murdoch, Uni. of Dublin and Swinsburne Uni with APMI Kaplan. Am sure that SIM is quite reputable, but what about those at APMI?

How about Chartered Institute of Marketing? CHIM?
what about the cost of going to each different choices? which is the most "cost efficient" one and which is the most "pocket blowing" one?
Oh yes...forgot to mention.My aim is to actually do my course PT, as I do NOT want to rely on my parents to finance me through. Financing and scarificing for me for 22yrs+ is long enough.

Yah, just go ahead and check with people in the relevant industries whether the degrees offered from the specified institutions are recongnised. They may not be as glamourous but don't let that stop you from getting a good education and eventually excelling in your career someday. ;)
I currently doing full time with kaplan. Their service not bad and have make up class if you cant make it on the schedule date.
Fees wise, its also cheaper compare to other private institute.
The time frame for FT & PT are the same. Only the time slot of the class is different.
I think some of their course also offered other kind of cert. together with the course. Eg. ACCA got the Oxford Brookes degree thing while you are taking the ACCA course. Its the different Brookes. Not the one on newspaper.
But depending on which course you want to take. If ACCA or those professional cert., I suggest Kaplan. But like Tourism those kind of course, maybe you would like to consider SIM? Though the fees might be more expensive???
