Driving with Glaucoma?

  Hey guys, I'm 19 but I've been diagnosed with open angle glaucoma, but i see colors just fine. Is it still possible for me to qualify for a license, even if i can't read all the lines on the eyesight-test chart? Anyone with experience, please help.

  when you sign up for driving school, there'll be a simple test for color blindness.

  if u pass that one, enrolment shouldn't be a problem.

  why don't u give them a call and ask?

  Well yeah i know about the color blindness test, but isn't there a chart test as well? the one where you've look into a microscope-like thing and read the "Tumbling E's" chart. That one i'll flunk for sure. I'd like to know if drivers with glaucoma are considered "handicapped" ?
