I think nobody is like me, unhappy when found new work. I work for this company, who is a medium sized company. however the pay does not commensurate with my experiences. the pay is even lower than a fresh grad, mind you. some more its a 2 years contract. if quit have to give a 2 months notice or 2 months pay in lieu.
I just started work recently. I intend to work till next year, mostly likely after feb or march. should I quit next year or continue to work my way up? the job is mundane and not exciting.
SOP answer - Don't quit without a job.
Stay on until the economy picks up and you can find another better paying job. ![]()

This is the pte sch job that you talking about? I thought you quit already?
You quit the pte sch job and found a new job which also got 2 years contract? ![]()
Than I will say you are damn suay ![]()
But you can still think in the bright side.
There are degree holders working as taxi driver, waiter etc. There are degree holders who are still jobless.
They are worst than you.
So smile and be happy ![]()
These days is not easy to find companies which are paying well for jobs. We have our dear ruling party condoning companies to overwork the staff and pay them low, this is what CDC labelled as the trend these days.
Well, you still can continue to look out for jobs while working on your present perm job.
Good luck in your job searching for higher pay
knowing the pay is low, why still sign the contract? you dumb or are you high?

"cannot say like that"
some people are very in need of money so grab whatever that comes their way first.

if he really in that category, and is complaining now... really really stupid right?

To me I don't think he is stupid, more like a grievance to me.
Money not easy to earn, dude.
Treasure it while you have it.

RIGHT?
Working people more or less have grievances, common and normal they voice out.
hello, you misinterpreted the "treasure it". The "it" is money I am referring to. hee hee hee.
ya wad... job = money what...
but he should know what is his duty and pay..
thats why he sign his contract...
so i think he should stop whinning and find a new job, or cont and have a good performance so can get a raise..

Either way is fine.
think he kind of regret accepting the present job.
It is not always ===> job = money
I know of someone who served notice after she tendered resignation. Asked to work one more month or week, and this period of time of working was free of charge.
then the co. must have treat that person well.
you hardly see ppl like that
fanta, Jerry (or maybe yyy)...
If he wanna whine, shld go whine bar... wrong place...
He reap wat he sowed... there'll always be consequences behind every action... judging from his words, he said he has experience... not first time working... if beforehand, the condition already so bad, then why sign with the company?
even if he's in need of money back then, he shld have weighed his choices... in the end, it's him who made the decision... I'm sure his company didnt put a gun on his head to force him to sign with them...
From his words, he say he started recently, say work till feb or mar... tat'll be 4-5 months... minus away 2 months pay for breaking the contract, he left 1 2-3 months pay...
I suggest TS worked till he complete his contract... Even if u dun earn much, u still earn 2 yrs experience and it stays with u...

Wrong.
Company treated staff not well and staff turnover rate was high, this was the reason she left. She was merely asked to work extra days and not got paid so being soft hearted she obliged.

There are many companies like that.
What to do, supply is always more than demand.

I think she maybe afraid that if she don't agree than the company don't want to pay her last month salary

Hi Franceso,
As you have mentioned, you are unhappy with the pay, but are you unhappy with the job itself? Many people are also unhappy with their pay in view of the current economic situation, but if you view the job as acceptable despite a lack of 'excitement', then I advise that you stay on with this job.
Given that many people are out of job in the present time, it will not be wise to attempt to quit a generally acceptable job when you have one.
Cheers.
