Promos results were released to us already. I saw my results and was utterly disappointed.
Although i am slightly above average in the class, i guess i might
retain or drop out from my Junior College. However, this is only my
prediction since no official document has stated that i will retain.
I am rather optimistic and is looking forward for a re-examination
soon. But i don't know where to go, what to do if i really retain. This
should not be happening to me.
Seriously, even my Project Work buddies ain't doing a favour in trying
to do their best in this subject. They just keep playing and giving
atrocious standard of work.
If you were me, what will you do now?
eh...Get new Project buddies? ....like immediately?
kudos for being optimistic x3 but i dont think dropping out of school is a good idea, just hang in derh bro!
if you can be promoted to J2 why even think about dropping out

i was like you, had crap results for promo, although i did get promoted to J2..
however, i had great difficulties in understanding much of the j2 stuff cos my j1 basics were crap.. until i made the decision halfway through my j2 to pull out and enrol in poly.
everyone was like "won't you have wasted ur time in jc?" "just hang in there and take ur A's la!"
nobody was more sure than I am, that if i were to take A levels, my results would never be eligible for local uni admission.
i went to poly, put in effort, and eventually i did well enough to get admitted into SMU business mgt.
take some time to think through what you want to do with your life.

Hi Chipperboy,
If your project work group members are really unwilling to put in effort into your project, perhaps you will like to get the teacher-in-charge to speak to all of you. If that comes to no conclusion, then you will have no choice but to work extra hard on your side. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that the teacher-in-charge will entertain a switch in group.
As for the promotions, do not worry too much about it. I know of students who get DDE for their promotions who ended up having AAB for their "A"-level. The most important thing for you to do now is to put in even more effort, so as to ensure that you will have the results which you desired for your "A"-level.
Cheers.

I salute you. Because 95% of the ppl who are 1.5 years through JC will still continue to take the A levels even though they are struggling.

If I were you, I would do more for the sake of my project, regardless if it is a group project or not.
As long as you do your best for your project, people will understand the hard work that you have put into this project and recognise you for your efforts.
You don't really need to divide and calculate and weigh every single responsibility evenly. Different people have different levels of output when working together in a project, you cannot expect everyone to have the same level of output as you unless you are working together with your own clones.
The true success of working in a project is not based on the amount of output by each individuals, but rather the cohesiveness of the entire team!
Can you bring your team member together? Can you work closely together with them? Can you get along well with them? Can you make your team members LIKE you?
Do that and achieve total cohesiveness and you will find that you have gained a rather useful ability to work greatly with anybody anywhere else in this world.
Measuring outputs are just childish behaviour ..... please grow up and drink more milk and eat more oranges.
