I just found out that, one of my best friends will not be able to make it to the same class as me next year ): my other best friend, has hope but it's very very slim. I've been thinking whether to appeal for the same class as them when the streaming results are out.. I've tried my best to help my 2 buddies to improve in their studies, but in the end.. Only 5 people in my class ( including me) are going to the same class. I'm afraid that i will not have friends in my class next year.. My teacher always say don't follow to the same class as your friends, but without them, i will be bored during my lessons at sec 3 ):

just because they're going to a different path doesn't mean you wouldn't be friends anymore.
grow up, you'll meet more new friends who will make your lessons enjoyable.

Are u studying for urself or ur friends?
In lessons u are supposed to be STUDYING and not talking with ur friends. Having them around might disrupt ur attention and affect ur studies even.
If u wan friends around, u can always meet them during recess, after sch etc etc and DO NOT have to have them chatting with u in class.

No no, i'm not trying to be like that lowhead here. Yea, but of course everyone wants their best friends to be in same class as them. However, in the future, of course i won't expect that. True, we will still be best friends. Okay, i will just hope for the best. Thanks anyway :D

5 in the same class..is good.
I only had 1 other guy, but it is completely fine because you need to expand your social circles as much and often as possible. Furthermore, most people tend to feel that the friends made in secondary 3/4 are the ones that will stick with you for a long long time. So don't worry about it.

it's the reverse for me. in fact we got closer during sec 3/4 even though we were not in the same class

Hi Swiftwinds,
Look on the bright side. Being in a different class from your old friends mean that you will have the chance to make new friends. If you wish to meet up with your old friends, you can always go out with them during the weekends.
To be truthful to you, you will be physically separated from your friend sooner or later. Even if the group of you manage to be together till JC or Poly, all of you will start to be separated again as the girls enter uni and the boys enter NS.
So do take this chance to make new friends, but treasure your old friends and keep in touch with them at the same time.

time for maturing...
during this phase of life, u will be experiencing loneliness, the thrill of exploring and talking with strangers... however one thing u cannot escaping is the excite and nervous u feel when talking to pretty girls..

When I entered sec 3, me and my 2 best friends were all split up into 3 different classes. For the first few weeks, we were still hanging together and all that, but eventually, we became distant. Now we are with our own groups.

We tend to make new friends along the way. It is a life process. Face it man.
Next time go work liao also will split. Or take up different schools and courses. Cant be together forever.

well .. i rmb after my p4 streaming, i went to EM1. and i am separated frm my bunch of good friends. ppl at thr were different, lik u dunno sth, u ask them, they juz say they dunno oso. bt ownself u see them, they can do. each so competitive towards each other. and i couldn't get along with them cos they are not friendly, carefree lik my bunch of good friends. i regret going in thr, shuld go EM2 wif my friends. anw, i p6 dropped to EM2 again.

i used to think that way earlier on when i first started highschool. me and my best friend tried to pick all the classes the same, but in the end we stopped being best friends and don't even talk now. just go your own way because there's a chance that you might fight with them and will have to spend all your classes with a "new enemy". going your own way could also help you make new friends and widen your social network OR help you find better friends. this is a time for you to think about yourself.
