Hey there, well i need to know what should I do. What I mean is, currently im waiting my NS to be enlisted to SCDF this 8 DEC. And what im curious is what should I do after my NS is completed? Thought of studying back but doesn't feel I could catch up. My N Level result I got wasn't good enough that why I refused to enter ITE instead going for NS first.
Last time I heard there a sponsorship ITE while I serving for NS. But im not sure where it is.
I wanted a Diploma Cert that I wish for but not sure whether I could have it or not. =(
I need to take some courses, I need recommendation what should I do.

Hi Music Mathers,
The only sponsorships which I can find are for diploma holders to take up degree courses and degree holders to take up Post-Graduate Diploma courses. Note that they are only for regulars.

Click on either "Senior Officer", "Fire and Rescue Specialist" or "Paramedic", followed by "Career Prospects".
Since you have already chosen to enlist first and have received your letter of enlistment, I will strongly suggest that you try to think about which course you will like to take up in ITE, and read up on it in your free time if possible.
Alternatively, you can choose to take up private diplomas after you have served your National Service, though they will be much less recognised than certificates from local polytechnics. If you really think that you will want to choose such a route, I will suggest that you try to get at least a private Bachelor degree instead of just stopping at a diploma.
Cheers.
Hey thanks for the reply.
Well since you said Private Diplomas is less recognised, then I think I should enter local Poly. But I have to go ITE first right? So that mean after NS, go ITE then Poly? Is there any shorter way to Poly?

Hi Music Mathers,
I believe a shorter route for you will be to take "O"-level as a private candidate.
Cheers.
