Skin Problem

Erm. This is quite embarassing...
I have a skin problem around the top part of my thigh. There's patches of darker skin, which has been around since I was young, though not from birth. I don't know why there's such a problem.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

btw top part of the thigh wun be obvious since even the japanese schoolgal style skirts will suffice to cover them
well as for me my face got some freckles... i try to use KOSE face cleansing soap and st ives moisturiser... not too bad
perhaps u can try body shop products as well. just be prepared to spend lots of time and money. body shop seems to be popular with most ladies and i must say they are rather pretty as well as in the radiant and clean outlook -

not like freckles. instead it's one big patch.
it's not obvious but you know in future if i ever do get married, he's going to see it on the wedding night and even if he won't mind, i mind the patch.
i don't know why and how the patch came out... so i have totally no idea what kind of skin products to use.

if i am a guy and i am going to marry a girl it means i am mentally prepared to be with her and support her financially and emotionally throughout my life into my deathbed. i am prepared to accept any of her shortcomings and help her over come them as well as promote her good points to anyone i know.
well, maybe u can go for tanning... it may hide the patch. or if u feel that u rather remain fair skinned (if u are), perhaps its time to pop into a dermatologist (skin doctor)...

I know one skin specialist opposite Serangoon JC - Punggol Clinic. You could try that instead of NSC.

Tanning won't help because I have natural fair-skin i.e. even if I sit under the sun for ten hours a day, my skin won't get much darker. And it wears off very quickly. Artificial tanning is too costly too... to have to keep going for it.Originally posted by ntu slacker:listen up lady....

well... what you said is true. Perhaps my future husband won't be bothered but I am bothered by it. It's like how you cook a dish and want to present it in the nicest way you can. And even though he won't mind it, I don't know, what will your first reaction be if you see this yucky patch on your wife?
erm, why you apologize to her... the fact that she's surprised shows that you weren't a disturbance at all you must have more confidence.

Go polyclinic first and let them refer you to NSC. Got a bit of subsidy.

Better to go polyclinic and let a doctor have a look at it. Sometimes if you're unlucky you might have an allergy reaction from the commericial cream. Play safe.

Pigmentation at and around the joints are common? Hmmm I never knew that, except that I know the skin at my elbows and knees are darker colored.
But mine is at the upper thigh leh, like you know, the part connecting my leg to my torso.
I guess I'll go to a polyclinic first and see what they can do.
