friends drifting apart

  Why as we grow up, friends around us seems to be less close, like each of our lives we are busier...no longer able to relive or even do things that we used to enjoy together.

  And i havent really had a good laugh for a long time. I kind of forgotten the feeling already, and as i grow up i laugh less and less...

  Hi Kirin_Rider,

  As we grow up, we start to have more commitments and need to take more responsibility, especially when we have a family of our own. There is also the fact that work often takes priority over most other things, thus we often find ourselves lacking extra time to do the things which we like.

  However, you can try asking your friends out for outings (With their families, if they have already started one) once in a while, and also invite them over to your house during festive seasons to celebrate together. The most important things is to not lose contact with them.

  i think what you say may be right to a certain extent.

  but no matter how busy both sides may be. i believe there will always be time.. dinner lunch perhaps? no matter how busy close friends are. they will find time for each other's company and have a good laugh even though it may just be an hour or so (:

  When i grow older and start working and all that.. I'll do everything in my power to make sure i wont lose contact with my friends.. The purpose of life is to enjoy it no amount of work will get in my way . You should too..

  I gather with my primary school best friend every Chinese new year since it has becomes a tradition. No worries true friends keeps in touch no matter how busy life is.
