Happy new year to all.
I had a wake up call on the first day of the fresh year when i disclose my new year resolution. I going to end my procrastination and work on what i want in life so i need your help!
I currently serving my ns and going to ORD this coming aug.
Due to my poor language problem during my secondary school days, i enroll myself to EEE and i graduated with a dip in EEE eventually. But now i have find my interest and seeing myself climbing up the corporate ladder.
I want to be an investment analyst cos i'm been monitoring the shares since poly day, read about business time, pulses and also have my poems acct and read about funds.
But. with a gpa of 3.27 in dipolma EEE i want to cross to business field is quite hard right especially the big 3 local uni. how am i going to engineer my path (further my studies )in inorder to achieve my goals.
Now that i find what i want in life i really want to make it!any advise? I'm thinking to go for some introductory class to acct and econ during this 9 months left in ns.
pls shed some lights!

alot of my friends who took engineering (cos at that time they said it's manly) now say they want jobs in white collar business positions.
i took up engineering because of my language barrier but i have overcome it over the years and the reason for the switch is for my interest and passion. yeah lo..
guess i have given a serious thot about it.

my english is not that good yet I still take business course.
so your problem at that time is mostly a psychological barrier.
ya. i guess so too. so how i should go about it? like learn business start from scratch.? like how?

after working some years in office environment, I realise alot of executives & managers their engrish is not really that good either. lots of spelling/grammar mistakes spotted in their documents/emails.
in the end, I bo hill my engrish also

Hi isaboutme,
Since you have decided to enter the Business field, there is no harm in trying to apply for a place in the three local universities. Even though the 10th percentile cut-off GPA is higher than your GPA, you can always try to appeal for a place.
I believe SAF will have introduced you to the e-prep courses. Do have a look at them and take up those related to Business and which interest you.
