Ar eu one of them? . When u try to approach thre opposite sex ( especially females) , u get the cold shoulder? Or for females, u are just too shy to give the wrong impression of yourself to men if u were to approach? In current times, is it harder to get attached with singaporeans western liberal values as compared to say 20 years ago when Asian values and tradition like matchmaking , emphasis on family and procreation was well maintained?

but based on my own experience, I think the newer generation certainly has a very warped idea of relationships. Besides, if money is the sole criterion for deciding whether to start a relationship, what then is the difference between having a girlfriend/wife and paying for a social escort/prostitute? And, I predict such relationships will be short-lived because everything in the relationship is calculated on the basis of economics.

But it is noticeable that nowadays the western money culture has prevailed in Singapore and is largely equated with marriage and relationship. is it a no money , no Honey Situation? And who stands a greater chance of losing out , men or women?

Definitely men will see their finances draining away and women left on the shelves in large numbers.

OFCORS there is a big difference in maintaining a wife vs paying for a prostitute.

Your wife only fark with you. Prostitutes fark with anyone who can pay the price.

No wonder you couldn't find a mate.

dear TS, why sound so pessimistic? not all gals married just for money. on the other hand, marriage also cannot no money, one chinese idoms quote" poor couple, hundred life sorrow"

when i was younger, i was rejected several times by gals. after that i look at myself can make a strong effort to change myself.

for the past decade, i was never rejected only i rejected gals.

you need to have a knack for what gals look for. you have to approach and target the right gals. improve and widen your topics, you must be able to joke and show sense of responsibility and honesty too. money or no money is not the sole factors when a gal accept you. i suggest you look at yourself and rethink.

by the way, i notice gals like men with wider and deep general knowledge.

Well TS I have a different view from you, I believe that Singapore is well developed which resulted our Singapore ladies to be more educated. Educated personnel might be more demanding when comes to selecting their spouse that may explain why you think that they are looking for wealthy spouse. I find that quite reasonable, if you are an educated women that held a stable income job - would you wish to married a man who might not have a stable income, job and a happy go lucky guy? Someone that incapable to support you? Someone that could be hard to communicate with?

However somehow i find that young couples are getting married without proper planning. Many couples married due to various reason such as age is catching up, long years of relationship that has no nowhere further progress.

Instead for looking at the flaws of women, why don't men improve our value by improving ourselves through various ways of upgrading.

Capitalism = economics @ works. TS is right. Imho, everything is equated w $ and anything can be bought w $ in today's context. reason being $ brings out the superficial side of human beings.. Wife/gf that chooses a rich guy is as common sense as ever and is as good as engaging in exclusive prostitution lo. So TS is right again to say that the difference between having a girlfriend/wife and paying for a social escort/prostitute is juz a thin line. Who wans to choose a mate that does not add value to one's well-being. I dare not say 100% think this way but I reckon that % is climbing up steadily. Esp. in today's context, there is no more true luv or whatsoever. Its jus a trade of flesh n money driven by SELF interest, the rest r juz putting on an act. Fong chang zhuo xi, you xi ren jian.....
