Does race matter in romance?

i am a mixed blood of french and singaporean chinese. I have never been successful in getting any dates with some local girls, yet i do have some girls who are just friends. Its like everytime i ask someone out they are always busy/sleeping/eating/out etc, and whenever I try to even speak to some of them, they just blatantly ignore me, and this has happened with 11 girls so far. Both my guy/girl friends say that i am a nice person, i don't have flaws that should impede me. So i am suspecting my race and nationality have some impact on my romance life, do u people think so? I am not a Singapore citizen.

different race may pose certain problems also, but its not impossible lah. my fren got this prob, he chinese, gf malay. By rite my fren if wan to get married to the girl must convert to islam but my fren will neber do so cos its like betraying his parents...then of cos the gf parents wun allow her to leave islam...so u see...haiz...problems sometimes. -

But mixx brother man for u u say u are french and chinese iszit? Then u are eurasian, i tot ger like your type... but you date what kind of ger? Are those kind of malay or chinese ah lian or waht? I think must be u date chinese right bexcoz eurasian liike dun like malay or indian... but even if u date indian got what problem? u date chinese also got what problem can crop up leh? So i not sure what kind of problem,,,,then u say u ask 11 ger out already all kena rejected... sigh man... hey i ask u come and be monk with me!!

Well I am going to stay in S'pore for a while, like another three or five years... and I don't see why some chinese girls (especially) like to shun me... I mean...if there is something wrong with me....I can listen and possibly accept it so I can improve for next time. But now I really don't know what is my problem? Is it ME? Or what? Can anyone relate to my problem? And chaar123 i am sorry but I have no idea what your talking about.

Could be your approach, or they just ain't used to talking to a mixed blood since erusians often had their own social circles and rarely mix with people outside.
You could always ask a few other friends to tag along when you start, perhaps the girls merely feel uncomfortable with a erusian and trying to go out alone with one is something they're not mentally prepared for. When she gets to know you better perhaps she would be more willing to start a relationship with you. -

LOL! If what your saying is true, and i have heard this SPG rubbish crap many many times, I should have a love partner by now, but I DO NOT! HAHAHA, come on race must come into play, cos of differences in culture and appearance. I am sure that local girls prefer their own kind over any foreigner. So i should act on what some guy told me:" Go back to your country and find someone there, don't snatch our females".

Oh i undestand why, that's cos the local guys here tend to be more attracted to eurasian or caucasian girls... cos of well i'm sure u guys know (cos many friends i have are chinese guys)..."rare" "exotic" "well endowed" are some of the terms i have heard from them. So ofcourse i'm sure your friend has no problems... but i think guys tend to be more...what's the word..."desperate", "ready to get involved" with girls i think.
But nvm about that, i cant stereotype. But what do you girls thinK? I want to get girl's views... do you find it hard to commit with a foreigner than a local guy or what? Or u find them repulsive or what? I really need to know... cos i am seriously thinking of seeing a shrink. -

As to the issue of lack of commitment.. I think everyone's had trouble with that before, men and women. I can attest to that characteristic to at least half the men I've met!! -

As for this type of girls thing...i have no idea what your on about.... all i know is... Whichever girls I try and hang out with...i get blatantly ignored...no conversation goes back my way... nothing whatsoever...yet they do talk to other guys a lot more... and those guys are asian. THIS IS ALL I KNOW... and i am getting depressed by the day over this... this is has gone on since secondary school, so I don't know what i am gonna do.
Sure there are many fish in the ocean rubbish, but there comes a time when you've seen so many fish brush you off....that u think the entire ocean is like that.... so i am beginning to think "**** it!" I'll be a celibate male for all my days... either that or i'll go back to europe... or something... -
