i initially planned to take course A (duration 1 year) however while waiting for course A to start, I came across another course B. course B is something which turned up along the way which i never planned to do. my ultimate goal is to complete course A, however i keep having the urge to do course B. course B lasts 6 months so if i take it up, i have to delay course A for a total of 1 year (i waited 6 months for it).
should i take up course B now or forget about it and do course A instead ?
i really want to do course A but something keeps urging me to do course B now (it's an opportunity which came along). i have a feeling doing course B will help me do better in course A, however i'm also concerned if it might be a distraction from the "real" thing.
another option i'm considering is to take the two courses concurrently. both are part time courses, however i'm also working part time. so i'm concerned if i can cope. nevertheless it'll be good if i can do both, as that would save me the dilemma of having to choose.
what should i do ?
is doing course B worth it for the effort? does it helps you more than course A?
if yes, go for course B.
if no, stick with your plan and proceed with course A.
"i have a feeling doing course B will help me do better in course A"
If course A and course B are related, I think if you can cope, taking them together is okay if you have the time to study. However, since they are related, is there a need to get course B? Have to ask yourself what is the aim of taking that course in the first place
course A is the career which i want to pursue
course B is the safety net which i hope will be available enroute to course A (and the desired career). one other reason i think of taking course B is it trains me in areas where i am weak in, that's why i feel it'll be an achievement and challenging to complete it. i don't have much passion for it, except for the thrill of achieving something difficult
