Hi! I will like to ask how many of you here will intend to further your studies in foreign universities if you have the financial means to do so? If yes, what is the reason for doing so?
I have a place to study in NUS FASS(not my first choice) but I don't know what I intend to study there and the uni also requires me to take modules from the Asian studies and Humanities branch like SEA studies, history, psychology, philosphy which I have absolutely no interest in and detest studying them. The only subject I am interested in FASS is Econs and sociology. Morever, I also heard that most FASS graduates have a difficult time in securing jobs after they have graduated and the starting salary is also quite low. Is it true that FASS is a dumping ground in NUS and most graduates become teachers because of the limited job prospects?
I am now pondering as to whether I should study in FASS or go overseas to study something which I am more interested in and have better job prospects. I understand that I will have to start afresh and adapt to the new surroundings if I go overseas but I am willing to take risks to study something which I like more. Can someone provide me with constructive opinions on what I should do? Thanks !
Overseas, guys more handsome, charming with reduced oily and less smelly sweaty.
Overseas, you will be considered as one of the exotic guys from asia and girls will think they have a better future being together with you than their local losers.
Overseas, you will have better prospect if you wish to begin your future career overseas.
Overseas, your mindset will change drastically and you will evolve out of your typical Singaporean loser mentality.
Overseas, then you can laugh at your shallow-minded Singaporean peers.
Overseas, that's when you can prove me wrong.
In the U.S, the University require their freshmen to take up general edu. Chances is that you won't be taking up intermediate subjects. Talk to Vito in overseas forum.
