Distrust and Disdain
I fear love I love pain
the only thing in life that's real
I'm cynical critical
'your word' is a scalpel
that cuts into me everyday
Traitors and treachery
have usurped blind loyalty
They'd sell you out for less than dirt
conquering empires
cloak dagger smoke mirror
one day it all comes tumbling down
The ones closest to you
have a plan of attack
they won't need to go far to stab you in the back
The bonds that were forged
are just forgeries
You should have been expecting that
Head-deep in filth
I'm asphyxiating (excruciating)
drowning in a sea of inhumanity
On a pale horse i ride
with a wave of my scythe
you will feel my misanthropy
Your smile is a gash
on your porcelain face
from whence honeyed lies trickle forth
your eyes are black holes
that lead to your soul
I'll reach in to see if it's still there
And what do you know
there's nothing but cobwebs
it must have left long ago
A hole-ridden shell
you're a host of dead cells
but it's okay, the whole world's just like you
He's edgy like Banksy
she's smart and she's sexy
you're all cut from the same piece of cloth
You parade and you preen
"Look, my wool is so clean!"
but you're all just like lambs to the slaughter
And when the day comes
when red flows through your wool
you think "Dear God whatever did i do?"
God looks on with pity
then smiles at you phonies
and says "no worries, you were just being you."

thanks alex. I didn't write this with it being a poem or a song in mind, i don't even know what constitutes a proper poem. Just thoughts and stuff. Yeah i kinda have a fixation to make most stuff rhyme. lol.
