Is it me or do some other people also think that prices in Singapore are really going up without consideration of lifestyle and pay of the working-class citizens?
First day living in Singapore? ![]()
Cost of living has increased.
Things are more expensive.
Bills up too.
Salary in straight line.
Saving sky dive.
Cost shot rocket.
That is life in Spore.

Big auditing companies's auditors accountants will know.
Singapore like Superman.
Up up and away.....
The GST raise catalysed a lot of the inflation you know....it's a ripple effect on everyone, every business. Hawkers raise their prices by 50 cents etc. Small businesses like the small grocery shop or barber shop will raise prices because their raw materials etc are all GST affected. So it's dumbshit ironical when the govt says GST is raised to help the poor. The poor get hit hardest.

Yes, when govt raised any thing, be it gst, cooking oil, rice, etc...hawkers will take this opportunity to increase their price.
Govt increast 1 to 5%, hawkers increase 10 to 20%.
And customers will suffer even more. They have to eat.
Hawkers will be smiling all the way to the bank.
And they love govt increase this and that, so that they have the opportunity to increase their price 10 fold.
sigh, the uni fees are going to incease, and the sudents are going to protest

No to pour cold water on you or your uni classmates.
When they want to increase the fees, no matter how you protest, they still increase.
Either you bit it or you leave it.
i used to eat western food for $4.50 at this place. Now it has become $5. Boycott. One raise and it's 50 cents.....crazy.
