i come from a loving family
school's great being one of the more popular ppl
and yet
my life sucks....
sometimes i wish i was dead...
4 the past 2 years i have been feeling depressed 4 no reasons. my life no longer has any meaning and a part of me is lost and i would very much like to find it.
but i'm afriad that i would have already killed myself b4 i found it -

There must be a reason why you feel that yr life sucks. I mean, is it becos of relationship problems or ??? Care to share? Or u are just having plain depression without any reason?
If its some problem, feel free to share with the pple here, i am sure u will feel much better after telling some1, and i am sure some advices given will help too.
Or if its just plain depression, hmmm..... i will suggest you seek professional help cos its just not healthy. And don't ever think of dying, cos you never almost lost yr life b4, and you dunnoe how good it is to stay alive, and let me tell you this "ITS REALLY GOOD TO STAY ALIVE". Somemore i am sure you r still young (u mention schooling)

Yupz like wat Atti mentioned.. we're sure there will be a reason for having this kind of feelings. Something happen in ur life of soemthing? Maybe it's not a failure in a r/s but more like unable to get the love or attention that u were searching for. For instance, maybe u may say that ur parents dotes on u. but u usually return to a empty home after sch. Maybe u find urself popular, but the thing maybe u find that ur friendships wif them are very superficial. Or maybe u have seen so many negative sides of life hence feel rather bored of life coz it may mean that life is full of pain...
Tell us... we'll try our best to help.. At the very least listen to u..

just check certain things out.. the post replies.. there are still pple outside your boundary that cares... so never think of ending your life just becus you are depressed..
there is more to life . you will learn when you grow older and learn when mistakes are made...

everyone will somehow or other grumble about his/her life... no one is 100% satisfied with their life.. some might say " hey, my life's great and i love every single bit of it.. ".. deep down inside will go " but it might b better if... " or " of coz i won't mind another.. "... stuffs like that...
what i'm trying to say is that no one's life is perfect and smooth sailing.. tho i dunnoe wat causes u to b so depressed as that was your one and only message with no reply... i'm sure there's some bright side that u can look upon, some sources of support where u can derive your strength from, some aim and goals in your life for u to bear hope in life.. death is definitely not an alternative...
ok.. before i carry on with all the "seemingly crap" i have told u... i hafta admit resorting to death has brushed across my mind before.. and trust me, there's many out there who have thot about it before... but juz dun eevr let this thought sets in... you can make a decision.. and u sounds wise enough to me as in the sense u should be able to know what's the best for you... reallie hope that seeking death was onli a passing remark or something that struck u but oso left u instantaneously...
you don't have to be perfectly satisfied with your life... one with no faults... juz try 2 be contented... your life will be better... may you be blessed with true happiness soon.. ^_^

i guess i just have to say that depression can be unexpected .. i mean , you can have everything going right for you, and still be depressed. if you`re feeling down, get help. let your friends, maybe your family know. let those around you know, so they can help you along, take care of you. its not going to help to keep it to yourself.

sorrie to hear bout this but hey, life is worth living. try to find some thing interesting to do and think wat is causing the depression then zhan cao cu gen. meaning find the root of the problem, the take it away totally ( i think lah ) and remember to smile alwayzz and relax

to this i will reply......(to other posts tt i neber reply, please do not fel neglected hor.....sollee...) anywayz, one reason y i'm replying, i coz i've actually had the same feelign lo. nono, i'm not saying i understand just for the sake of saying it n making u feel better. thou' trying to make u feel better is part of the reason, but main reason is, i've been thru' this stage. yes i have. read up in the previous (forgot which one) topic i posted.....thou' i'm still not ultra clear of wat's ahead of me, and i'm still confused, but somehow, the thing tt was troubling me tt time (i still dunno wat it was....hee~) is not troubling me nemore lo. nope, it isn't solved yet. coz i haven't found the root. =) but i've learnt to adopt the attitude of shun qi zi ran, and chuan dao qiao tou zi ran zhi....i realised tt, althou i'm really quite fan over it, but no matter how i fan, it oso cannot be solved, so y not just leave it into the trusty hands of our loving Heavenly Father? =) okok, so u may not be a christian, but u get wat i mean, things will iron themselves out somehow. =)))) if u really do blif in tt rite, sometimes, more often than not, it does make life easier to live lo. =)))Originally posted by leonidas:but i really dunno what to do!

eh, one other approach would be, take things slowly lo...one at a time. dun rush urself to solve the problem....mebbe now u too fan oredi, so u can't c the actual problem. leng jing yi dian, den find some time alone with urself. ask urself wat's troubling urself.....u could talk to someone if u like, but for me, a mind to heart talk with myself is best lo. =) dun panic and worry even more if u can't seem to find the answer to ur questions. be truthful to urself, coz it's urself u r talking to....nothing to hide, nothing to fear......=)

ummm .. Prozac helps , but only if no other way works. guess AA has a lot of helpful people .. why dun you just let out what is on your mind, why you are depressed. its okay .. it`ll make you feel better.

I guess mayb for the past 2 yrs u have been thinking too much to the extent tat u no longer understands or remember the exact thing u r so vexed over.. or mayb its the accumulation of problems that have been gathering in ur mind that causes the depression..
I think most ppl do go thru this stage of life wher we become so depressed,lost and uncertained...it may b caused by the hopes expectations of future or even of ourselves..
give urself some time.. like tired says.. its best to haf a gd talk wif urself... questions wats the root to the problem... give urself some space to relax.. some space to breathe... some space to understand urself better as no one can understand u better den urself...
nvr think of ending ur life as being alive is wonderful.. it may b full of ups n downs n times wher some probs jus seem unable to solve.. buts its also filled with love and beautiful ppl like family n frens as long as u give life the chance...live thru this n when u grow older u will be glad u made a sensible choice..

forgot how the saying actually goes la, but like they say, you wun noe wat u had until u lost it. i mean, in the sense, u wouldn't have known wat being happy/happiness was about until u've been sad once rite? vice versa la......u wouldn't have knwon tt wat u had with someone special was love if u hadn't lost it.........(thou' it's best not to lose it la....)

Many people misunderstand clinical depression from the blues. It happens to the affected and causes unhappiness without any reason. I suggest if u feel this way all the time. Please go see a doctor. It is treatable. It's like having cancer, no matter how much you try to fight it, without medical help, u still succumb to it's fury. Go see a doctor. If u r afraid to see one, call me. Cause I have it too and until now I still dare not see a doctor. Ha ha. Good luck.
