Anybody knows do pls help
To take up bussiness and accounting myself, what book should I read? what is the generally accepted certificate exam in Singapore? How to prepare for that? Basically,it's how to become a professional? -
Well, that hardly seems like a Aunt Agony topic. :p
Anyway, to answer your question, it is generally better to take up certain certified qualifications in order to secure yourself of a professional certificate which proclaims u as a professional in that sense. Pure reading doesn't help much though as u can only say u read it verbally, not through black and white means, if u get what I mean.

I do heard that they accept degree courses from SIM, UOL, stansfield. and there's also the LCCA or was it LCCI.. it's the London Chamber of Commerce exams.... All these are recongised in S'pore by the private sector. But for public sector I'm not too sure.
To be a professional accountant u have to go get a degree wif accountancy then work for few yrs to gain experience and to be qualified to take a test to be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
basically, for accounts u can't really read a book on it.. u have to know how it works and practice lots and lots.... it's just like maths.. coz for each item or problem that is given to u, there may not be just a one step answer... but u have to know quite a few things.
For Business, I totally have no idea...
